Predictable usage limits with transparent, non-disruptive enforcement

Our Philosophy

HeuriSight is designed for genuine educational use. Our fair use policy ensures predictable costs for institutions while maintaining service quality for all users. We believe in transparency — you'll always know where you stand before any action is needed.

Standard Usage Allowances

Each active student license includes the following annual usage allowances:

Resource	Included Per Student/Year
Messages	Up to 2,000 messages (student + assistant turns)
Scored Assessments	Up to 6 scored assessment sessions
Document Processing	Up to 200 pages of student document processing
Artifact Storage	Up to 1 GB stored artifacts and attachments

These allowances are designed to accommodate typical educational use patterns. Most students will operate well within these limits during normal coursework.

Usage Monitoring & Notifications

We provide proactive visibility into usage at multiple levels:

Student Level: Students can see their own usage in their dashboard
Cohort Level: Instructors can monitor cohort-wide usage patterns
Course Level: Learning Facilitators have full visibility across courses

Notification Thresholds

Automatic notifications are sent when usage reaches:

70% of included allowance — Early awareness
85% of included allowance — Time to review and optimize
100% of included allowance — Discussion of options needed

Non-Disruptive Enforcement

We Never Cut Off Learning Mid-Term

HeuriSight will never abruptly terminate student access or disrupt active learning. If usage approaches or exceeds limits, we work with your institution to find the right solution — whether that's optimizing usage patterns, adjusting the subscription, or accommodating temporary spikes.

Our approach when limits are approached:

Mitigate first: We help tune prompts/flows, consolidate redundant documents, or enable assessment-only mode during graded windows to reduce unnecessary usage
Communicate proactively: Your Learning Facilitator or institutional admin is always informed before any action
Flexible resolution: Options include optimization, true-up agreements, or plan adjustments — never surprise cutoffs

Usage Optimization Tips

To make the most of your included allowances:

Use Assessment-Only Mode during graded assessment windows to focus student interactions
Consolidate course documents to avoid redundant processing
Design assessments thoughtfully — quality over quantity of interactions
Monitor cohort usage early in the term to identify patterns

Pilot Programs

Usage limits and overages for pilot programs are negotiated individually based on pilot scope and goals. Your pilot agreement will specify any applicable limits and how overages (if any) are handled.
